Antique Sextant made by Henry Hughes & Son Ltd, 59 Fenchurch Street, London.

A late 19th century navigators Sextant, brass frame with ladder design. Engraved on the arc Henry Hughes & Son Ltd, 59 Fenchurch Street, London.

The silver scale is engraved from -5  degrees to 155 degrees and can measure angles up to 129 degrees, it is divided into 10 minute increments. The index arm has swinging scale magnifier, the silver Vernier scale reads from 0 to 10 seconds of arc. 7 inch radius.

This antique Sextant is contained within its original hardwood box with brass carry handle. It comes complete with all its accessories - Four telescopes, two eye piece sun filters, adjusting pin and box key.
