A matching pair of antique yacht or ship's gimballed candle lamps.
This type of mid 19th century nautical light was probably from an early elegant steamship or a classic gentleman's yacht.
Constructed from brass with a decorative mounting bracket with gimbal mechanism to keep the light upright regardless of the heel angle of the vessel.
These lamps were designed to burn tallow candles and have a sprung loaded body.
Height of lamp 10.5" / 27cm. ( excluding glass chimney )
The glass chimneys are not included because they usually get broken during transit, but they are available from good hardware stores.
These lamps can also be easily converted to electrical operation / low voltage LED.
